My Own 3D Sketch
AI is a technology we can no longer get around. As Interior Designers we can throw it overboard or embrace it. Because face it, you can now ask ChatGPT to design for you! But Artificial Intelligence cannot replace Interior Designers. Interior Design is more than putting together what you as a client asks for and answering any questions that you may have. It is our job to create the most cohesive design and matching the feel of your home with you. Sometimes it might not even be what you thought, but throughout working with a real Interior Designer this has come to light.
However in saying that, AI is not replacing us as Interior Designers, it is a great tool to start your process of finding out your interests and likes. Once you have gathered your inspiration through online photos and playing with AI, we can use this as a start with the journey of designing your home.
I have recently used AI to see what the rendering of my 3D sketch would look like as you can see in the photos. This was not a finished model but I wanted to see how ChatGPT would convert this into a realistic image. I haven't fine-tuned the images that were converted (which you can do in ChatGPT by asking to change things you want changing) but it gives some ideas on what it could be or look like to help us quickly render sketches we are working with.
Please see below link to Chat GPT. There is a quick and free sign in and after you are logged in there is a simple search engine where you can upload photos and type anything you want.
